As has previously been communicated to you, the CEO of Kalparrin resigned in June and I have stepped in as Executive Director.
My temporary appointment came at the request of the Board, to ensure that the day to day operations of Kalparrin continued without interruption.
Sadly, the Chair of Kalparrin Mr Ernest Boswarva tendered his resignation to the Board due to ongoing ill health. The Board accepted Mr Boswarva’s resignation, noting and thanking him for the contribution he had made to the organisation during his term as a Board member and then Chair.
At the meeting of the Board at which Mr Boswarva’s resignation was accepted, I was unanimously voted in as Chair. As a result, I now hold the position of Executive Chair, until a new CEO is recruited.
The last month or so has been a challenging time for the organisation, but I can assure each and every one of you, that due to the commitment, professionalism and hard work of the Staff and Board, the much needed services that Kalparrin provides to our membership and the wider community have NOT in any way been compromised.
Maintaining and building on the wonderful reputation that Kalparrin has in the community will be my focus over the next month or so. Key to that will be to oversee and improve on the day to day operations of the organisation to enable us to continue to provide the highest quality services to our membership.
I will keep you up to date on progress and events through our regular newsletter (the next one is due out at the end of the month) but if in the meantime there is anything you wish to discuss with me, please feel free to drop me a line or call me.
Change in any organisation brings with it some disruption, but for the Staff and Board of Kalparrin it is most certainly business as usual.
In closing, I would sincerely like to thank you all for your ongoing support and understanding during this time.
