To make a positive difference to the lives of families and carers of children with special needs through the provision of practical and emotional support.

Our Vision

The Kalparrin Centre is known for its warmth and caring, where families of children with disabilities and special needs can be linked with other families with similar needs or experiences or with the services or information they require.

About the Kalparrin Centre.

Located in the Hay Street Building, Princess Margaret Hospital, the Kalparrin Centre provides practical and emotional support to families of children with special needs. This includes parents whose children do not attend PMH.

The Centre is open to any family member of a child with a disability or special needs regardless of degree of severity or type of impairment.

Staff and volunteers of the Centre understand the issues involved in caring for children with special needs and are always available to share experiences, offer support and provide information.

The centre has a comprehensive collection of directories and contact points for support groups, and community organisations that maybe of value to you or your family.
